What documents do I need to hire a car in the UK?
To get you on the road as quickly as possible, we just need a few essentials when you pick up your vehicle. Please bring your valid UK driving licence (or an international driving permit if applicable), a secondary form of photographic ID (like a passport), proof of address, and the credit or debit card used to make your booking.
How old do I need to be to rent a car?
Generally, drivers must be at least 23 years old and have held a valid driving licence for a minimum of one year. If you are under 25, a standard Young Driver Surcharge may apply. If you have any questions about age requirements for specific vehicle categories, just reach out to our team!
What is your car hire fuel policy?
We like to keep things fair and simple. We operate on a "full-to-full" fuel policy. This means your rental car will be handed over to you with a full tank of fuel, and we simply ask that you return it with a full tank to avoid any extra refuelling charges.
Are there any mileage limits on my UK car rental?
We want you to enjoy your journey without constantly checking the odometer! Many of our standard car hire packages come with unlimited mileage. However, certain premium vehicles or long-term rentals may have a generous daily limit. We will always make this completely clear to you before you book.
Do I need to purchase extra rental insurance?
Standard insurance (including a Collision Damage Waiver) is included in your cheap car hire price, so you are legally covered to drive. This standard cover does include an "excess" (the maximum amount you would pay in the event of damage). For total peace of mind, we offer optional excess reduction packages at the rental desk, but there is absolutely no pressure to upgrade.
Can I change or cancel my car hire booking?
We know that travel plans can change unexpectedly.
